This picture was taken when we went to visit different hospitals here in Hilo just before christmas, we gave people salvation army blankets, socks and sang christmas songs for them to bring some christmas feeling to the people in the hospitals and share the gospel. the two women in the red salvation army shirts are part of the home league and woman by me is captain kelley, and the boy in the back is Miji, Lutchers son, and by him is Mike, the corps officer and Kelleys husband.. and the kids in front are the children of the lady with long hair on the left.. cant remember her name... :):):)

swimmin' in the ocean

went to swim in the ocean today in honololu. it was soo nice. never would of thought i would get to do that in states, especially in hawaii.. was soo nice..:)

staying in honolulu for few days...

hey guys. im in honolulu right now. got here today. its like a 40 minute flight from hilo. came to the officers chrismtas party... well even tho im not an officer.. but well its a good chance to meet all the officers here so they wanted me to come too. anyway.. the party is tomorrow but well be staying here til thursday. will ge tto do some shopping and go swim in the ocean right after christmas.. crazy i think. today it was like 85 degrees out... talked to my mom today, she said theres perfect snow in tallinn... mmm how badly i want to jump in the snow right now.. well i guess when id be there i would think id want to be on a beach.. so well either way is good. anyway, its nice to be here and i willl try to post some pictures later on too.

in hawaii now

hey guys. Well im here now. got here on wednesday. all my flights went ok. Slept most of the way over. just soo tired and well the time difference didnt help any either.. well hawaii is beautiful as you all can imagine. its different tho. this island im on anyway. An old community so, not many last fashion buildings like in tallinn or anywhere else, in big citys. there are big buildings in honolulu tho but thats on another island, like the second island from here. but its nice anyway. well i havet got to many places yet but ive been to some things.. like to the bank and postoffice and went to see a soccer game the first night here. The lutchers( hilo corps officers) have 3 kids, and the oldest daughter playes soccer and they had a game last night so we went to see it. The girls won. it was fun cause well i played soccer for 6 years myself.

The corps here is quite small, just like our Kopli. Its really sweet and the people here are nice too. Loads of volunteers here, and about the same amount of people working on payroll as in kopli again. so reminds me a lot of home. and kelley, the captain here, reminds me so much of you, susan! listening to her makes me feel like i listen to you:)

Ill post some pictures when i take more and get them on the computer too. I soon will have my own little office nad computer to work on, so then it will be easyer. Right now i just use a computer when its free.

Well like everywhere.. during christmas its crazy here. and well whats even crazyer is to have christmas when it is 25 celcius outside. and guess what? they people here say its kinda COLD outside... then again me.. I MISS SNOW SO MUCH! wish i could play a good snowfight.

Anyways, its 6.12 pm and im still at the corps. some things just dont change heh?

Umm yeah, i dont think i have to say much more, do i? well those who dont know yet, today was when i went to play pool with Phil,Derek, Jacob and Meg. It was me and Meg against the men and we played 4 games and lost all of them. yeah. not the best day. not like 2 YEARS AGO WHEN ME AND MEG WON!! But well, gotta know how to lose too, right! anyway, at least now phil has something to make fun of on sunday... and im sure he will... and by the way.. its my last sunday at my home corps for a while... gonna miss you all loads..

Today im having fun babysitting the wittenbergs kids.. :) its exactly 11 days left til i fly to states so im also trying to spend time with family and have to start packing soon too! and in the mean time i work and work... and work.. so im doing good! Hawaii

Got my US visa on friday and am moving to hawaii on dec 13th to work at The Salvation Army Hilo Corps. Really really exciting to get to work for God there! Keep me in your prayers

Im an aunt now. My brothers wife Tanja gave birth 2 a little baby boy who is called Sander ,today, Aug.20th at 3.25 pm. cool heh? just wait til i teach him all the little stupid things :):):):):):) fun..

crazy day.. in a way :)

it has been a crazy today. well i guess thats how it always is here. interesting. when something goes right another thing goes wrong. and when something gets done something else comes up that needs to be done. like a neverending circle :)

somehting crazy happened today too. one of our staff, anthony,14, has been feeling kinda sick for the last two weeks, and today he just crashed. we called 911 and everything. it was seriously like in an action movie. andnot good when it happens right in the middle of camp and when kids are around. but everything is well now. anthony is in estes park medical center right now. feeling better and probably coming back tonight... if he wakes up :) at first they thought he had a seizure but now they think he didnt. and im not up dated a lot yet so i cant really give you details.

we have had a lot of injurys this summer. last summer it was mainly me, but this last week lisa has been to emergency room 3 times already, and guess what? not with kids but summerstaff members. :) aint that hilarious? i think it is. oh and yeah, guess i havent told you about my "fall of the bunkbed story yet, have i ? umm ill leave that for later :)....

i gotta go now. it is 7.06 pm right now. gotta go and work a little more and the im off for the night. cant wait to go to bed. tomorrow last camp leaves and summercamps are over, other than loads of people coming in outside of the SA. but it will be fun im sure.

David and Lacey. this is their 2nd summer here at camp. we worked together last summer too. they just got engaged and getting married next june. Lacey is from mexico and david from states. also laceys brother jonathan works here this summmer and another girl martha from mexico too. We have-had 5 international staff here this summer. the most i think.. Really really cool. :)

Nicole was the program director for the summer.and andrew the head male counselor. nicole is originally from finland :) her last name is heinonen :) if anyone knows anyone with a last name like that :) i think it was soo cool. i aslo met a family reunion people who were here last week and they had an uncle who was from estonia :) aint that cool. small world heh:)

hey ppl

mm welll here i am.. sorry that i havent blogged for a while, it is just so hard to make time to get to blog during a week. I AM SO HAPPY IT IS FRIDAY :):) The first set of kids left about 2 hours ago and i just praise the Lord for that. Not that i dont like kids.. but it is awesome to have weekends off. i am weared out. mm the next CS camp will start on monday, right now we have about 90 kids signed up for that, so its going to be wild. mm everything went great last week tho. and God was just so there blessing me through the week, even tho i was sick and weared out by wednesday, but God gave me the time to rest that i really needed, and im feeling a lot better now. i still have some bad headacheds every now and then, and ive taken a lot of painkillers for the last few days but im doing good :)

mmm.. whatelse.. mm i getting out from camp for a littlebit.. going shopping.. mmm yeah.. even tho im kinda broke til next friday.. but it will still be kinda cool to get around the ppl and actually see the world again... :):)you really start feeling like in your own world up here....

it is freezing cold up here. too. well it was ok til yesterday but now it is raining again and it is so cold... oh well..

ill write again sometime this weekend..., and hey.. mm you write me too ok... so far not many have.... that is like non other than keit and some ppl when i had my birthday.... forgotten me already??

hey ya all

Here i am in colorado now.Mmmm yeah. im at the library in estes park right now... came to town to the police station to give fingerprints...yeah.. something we all camp staff have to do here before summer starts. so anyways, i am at the library right now. free internet.. really cool :)

anwyays, um yeah, it has been really cold up here. it ws snowing for 2 days.. great that i dont have anything other than one sweatshir and a pair of jeans heh?? well i do have like other pants but not anythin glike warm or stuff. Mm had to leave some of my clothes home because the estonian air plane only allowed 20 kg other than 32 kg as all the normal planes allow.. but hey, that is a good reason to go shopping after i get my first paycheck heh:) just have to get through til then..... :):) well, im doing ok tho.

had a cool birthday on tuesday ;) :) :) :) mm kinda sad at first but id did turn out to be an awesome day. had people sing to me in estonian and all. and a huge card on the wall that said happy birthday kristi, in estonian! impressive heh? well and lot of other cool thigns on that day too..

mm what else.....i have no batteries so i cant take any pictues yet, havent been to mc donals or taco bell, or any other place yet.. basically um havent been anywhere yet, because it is the staff orientation this week. so.. but weekend is coming up. i have all the weekends off so thats pretty cool.

well, i gotta go for now. but ill be back. with more news really. just wanted to let you all know i am still alive and going.

its been over a month since my last blog.... :) :) :) sorry. well, i promise ill try better from now on. Well since the summer is getting closer, and im leaving in.. :) LESS THAN 2 WEEKS .. :) i most likely will start blogging more often, since i cant afford calling every1. so keep checking back... :)

well, tomorrow.. guess what?? i start my vacation.. mm i know some of you are laughing, because you know me better than this.. :):)but i do promise ill stay out of the office as much as possible.. well i gotta do a lot of packing.. since.. most likely my parents have to move my stuff out of my apartement while away.. and .. right now im just so so tired so i will just spend some quality time with my pillow and blanket next week for sure :):):):):):):):):):):) well, and if i wont then.. its a cool thought that i could :):)
